Winter/Spring 2024 SCHOOL PLAY 

This year’s 2nd and 3rd grade School Play is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 16th, 2023 (with a snow date of Sunday, March 17th).

 

Auditions will take place on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH and TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13TH. Audition sign-ups will begin on February 5th. 

 

There will be two casts with rehearsals beginning MARCH 4TH through MARCH 15th and a performance date of March 16th, with a snow date of March 17th. 

 
 
 

By registering, you are aware and committing fully to the following rehearsal schedule: 
 
 

Please note:  

  • All children who are registered will be cast in the show.
  • All siblings will be placed in the same cast.
  • ALL REHEARSALS ARE MANDATORY. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • You must be present for the ENTIRE rehearsal EACH DAY.  There is no arriving late or leaving early.
  • Rehearsal and/or cast requests will not be honored.
  • Once registered, we cannot provide refunds.
  • December 4th and 8th are half days but there will still be rehearsals.

AUDITION MATERIALS

Jason Summers from Westchester Sandbox Theater has put together audition sheets so that every child feels excited and comfortable for the auditions when they get here! There are song ideas, practice scripts and general information that pertain to everyone and are incredibly useful.  Each student will audition in a very small setting with only the casting director in front of them.  Each audition will only take 5-10 minutes.  Please note, that every child will be asked to prepare a short song and read the prepared lines from one scene as one character.  For the song, you can use the materials provided below OR come with whatever song you want.  There is no need to memorize anything.  We want this to be a very easy experience for your children so they can relax and get ready for a FUN and EXCITING show!
