What Is The Library Gift Book Program?
The goal of this program is to help our school expand its selection of LIBRARY books available to our students.  At the same time, the Program gives Families and Friends of Quaker Ridge students the opportunity to commemorate a special occasion or event for their child.  Such occasions can include a child's birthday, the start or end of a school year, a holiday celebration, or teacher/staff appreciation.  TOGETHER, it is our mission to enrich our children's education by enhancing the library resources made available to them.
 
How Does The Library Gift Book Program Work?
When your order form is received, a Bookplate and Bookmark are prepared for your child with special inscriptions commemorating the occasion.  The Bookplate is placed in the front of a specially selected book and the Bookmark is given to your child as a keepsake of this occasion.  The book is then presented to your child and he/she will have the 1st opportunity to read the book. The book should then BE RETURNED TO THE LIBRARY where it will remain for others to enjoy for years to come. The book will be delivered during the MONTH of the event you are commemorating.

How Can I Participate In This Program?
In order to participate in this program, you can place your order at the payment button above, or go to Account Order Forms.  The cost of the book is $20.
 
 
FAQs
How far in advance do I need to place my order? At least 2 weeks prior to the event you are commemorating or the 15th of the month prior.  Birthday submissions should be sent in by the end of the month prior to your child's birthday month.  So if your child's birthday is November 30th, your submission is due back by October 15th.
 
Can I have the book presented on a specific date such as a birthday? Birthday books for children will be presented sometime during their birthday month, with an attempt to present them as close to each child's birthday as possible.
 
 
Can I order a specific book? At this time we are unable to order specific books, but we will order a book that is age and gender appropriate for your child.  At a later date, we hope to offer a predetermined list of books from which you can choose.
 
What should I write on my Bookplate/Bookmark? Please refer to the sample messages below:

What if I forget to place my order? We will send out reminder e-mails the month prior to your child's birthday.  You will also receive additional reminders throughout the year during special holidays and occasions.  Orders will be accepted anytime, click the button above to get started!
